Job Title: Sustainability Consultant Location: London or Manchester Role Purpose An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Sustainability Consultant with BREEAM Licence to join our market leading sustainability team at CBRE Ltd to sit in London or Manchester to join our growing Environmental Consultancy Group in London. The current team of 15 features highly experienced professionals who advise clients in the UK and EMEA on ESG, Advisory & Certification and Health & Wellness. Whether it be developing and implementing ESG Strategies, creating sustainability frameworks, delivering certification, and advising on health & wellbeing, we give clients clear, timely advice and make sure any wider sustainability objectives are addressed. The successful candidate will work across a diverse project portfolio. Reporting into the ESG Programme Lead, they will lead on the delivery of sustainability certification projects such as BREEAM NC, RFO and BIU, as well as sustainability advisory and ESG Programme support . This candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to build strong relationships with clients. This role is for a candidate with a strong background delivering BREEAM, with track records in office assessments. This is an exciting opportunity to play a strategic role in the growth and development of the sustainability team leading on projects as well as supporting other members of the team. Key Responsibilities ? Based in the London or Manchester office and work with the London based team. ? Reports into the ESG Programme Lead. ? Deliver BREEAM New Construction (NC), Refurbishment and Fitout (RFO) and In Use (BIU). ? Prepare and deliver sustainability planning statements. ? Develop and share strategies for improving sustainability projects. ? Knowledge of lifecycle assessments and tools. ? Produce reports providing advice to clients and project teams. ? Review documentation provided by project teams, assess this against the project’s targets and provide feedback. ? Communicate sustainability requirements to our team members. ? Attend site visits to review progress against sustainability / wellness targets. ? Review the performance of designated projects and update the team’s project tracker with progress and financial information. ? Engage with skills networks to exchange best practice and processes. ? Attend and contribute to team meetings. Person Specification/Requirements ? Strong holistic understanding of sustainability across the built environment. ? Experience carrying out sustainability assessments and track record of BREEAM assessments through the whole project lifecycle ? Strong understanding of BREEAM, ideally a with a BREEAM AP qualification and licenced in BREEAM RFO and BIU. ? Experience undertaking sustainability statements. ? Commercially minded, comfortable developing and nurturing new and existing client relationships. ? An Energy/Sustainability/Building Services/Engineering related degree would be an advantage. ? Experience of working on WELL / wellness related projects. ? Excellent communication and presentation skills.
