Our distinctive technology was initially devised in seminal research carried out at Cambridge University, and we now have enabled some of the largest and most successful organisations in the world to deliver better software, faster and at a lower cost. Our technology is pushing the limits of complex analytics on large data-sets with more than 15 billion static source code metric observations of software engineers working in an Enterprise software development environment.



By putting the customer first, we have since developed three new ground-breaking products to help our client base get the best out of their software through understanding the efficiency of their software development teams.





Job Description





We are looking for analytical individuals with expertise in statistical analysis and Business Intelligence. You will join our growing consultancy team to provide statistical analysis and reports for our clients.



The role includes comprehensive training and development. You can expect to be doing a mix of client projects and internal initiatives as well as working closely with the sales team to identify opportunities to deliver value to our customers.



Key Responsibilities



- Identify customer’s needs and propose relevant solution in a consultative approach



- Produce reports based on BlueOptima Coding Effort data and explain the insight they reveal to senior managers to support decision-making



- Create / maintain BI dashboards



- Perform data quality checks



- Evangelize BlueOptima and its metrics with customers



- Share feature or improvement suggestions with the product team





Qualifications



-

Master’s degree in Statistical/Analytical/Mathematical Degree or equivalent expertise in an analytical role



- Professional work experience is a plus



- Language Skills - R , Python, SQL



- Analytical Tools - Excel, Tableau, Grafana



- Strong fundamentals in Statistical Analysis with Python or similar programming experience



- Project management and process design knowledge preferred



- Understanding of Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) methodologies, for e.g. V-cycle, Waterfall and Agile



- Familiarity with version control systems (GitHub/ BitBucket) and task tracking systems (Jira/ TFS) would be a plus

Recruitment Process



Our recruitment process comprises of four stages to practically test candidates’ abilities:



- Send us your CV - should you be shortlisted, a member of our Talent Acquisition team will be in contact with you to arrange an initial chat.



- Should your skill set and attitude match the requirements of the role, we will arrange a second interview with the Hiring Manager of the role.



- The next step involves a work sample, which we allow you a maximum of 7 days to complete. Providing it is to a good standard, we will invite you to discuss the work sample with the hiring manager and another member of the team.



Salary: £25 - 30K base + commission £2.5K
