Account Overview



Our IT Security team sits within our Milton Park office in Abingdon. When you join this small, dedicated team you will report directly into the Senior Information Security Manager and receive mentoring from the Head of Information Security. The team covers a range of areas within IT and security including operational IT security, incident management and support, and proactive support of all users by educating and providing advice around IT security issues.



This role is a full-time permanent role and can be based from either our Milton Park office or our office at Liverpool. We are also offering a flexible working package with both office and homeworking included.



What will this role involve?









Working as an integral member of our busy team you will be responsible for supporting operational security processes, audit and incident management, with opportunity to develop your responsibilities into further areas of IT security within Amey.



Typical duties will include:



Analysing security data and providing insights and recommendations.

Ensuring that all security metrics are kept up to date.

Working with wider IT teams to improve security processes.

Supporting the Amey bid team by completing security assurance questionnaires.

Supporting Amey’s vendor and supplier security compliance review processes.

Delivering face-to-face security awareness sessions across the UK and online.

Assisting with policy creation and updates.

Providing incident management support for P1 and P2 incidents including conducting root cause analysis and lessons learnt sessions.

Supporting the process of responding to reported phishing emails as needed.

Providing Information Security assessments of new IT projects.

Supporting the risk management process and maintenance of the risk register.



Helping the IT architecture teams to develop the security standards that support the strategy

As an Information Security professional, you should have a passion for technology and IT, with sound technical knowledge and a least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.





Required Experience:



A Security Qualification such as CISM, CISA, ISO27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer.



A strong background working in IT Security and Governance.

Good understanding of relevant information security standards and practices.

Proven track record delivering work to tight deadlines in multiple work-streams/services.

Good interpersonal skills, influencing and communicating.

Knowledge of IT Business Continuity Planning and execution.

Ability to juggle multiple tasks.



Desired Experience:



Knowledge of GDPR compliance.



Experience of ISO27001 certification process and audits.

Experience of maintaining and managing an ISMS.

CompTIA Security+ or CEH.

Relevant Degree in computing or cyber security.
