The opportunity
As a Data Architect within our data architecture and modelling team you’ll provide data architecture and modelling design to support all customer data platform initiatives.
The role will be primarily focussed on data warehouse design however you’ll be required to support wider data architecture initiatives in conjunction with IT solution architecture.
You’ll be expected to create data models and amend existing models that underpin reporting, insight and analytical solutions.
Alongside this, you’ll ensure the correct industry tools are used for data modelling and practice industry recognised data modelling patterns and standards.
Working closely with the enterprise architecture and engineering teams, you’ll understand and maintain a variety of data management tools, metadata repositories, data lineages, data dictionary and data glossary to enable the organisation to understand their data assets.
Within this role you’ll champion and communicate business benefits of data standards and governing those standards across the organisation.
What we’re looking for
Being a Data Architect at EDF you’ll have a passion for all things data. You’ll take pride in delivering data designs that form part of the data analytics product delivery and you’ll encourage best practice approaches.
We’re looking for someone who has expert knowledge in dimensional modelling within Kimbell and you’ll be well versed in other data modelling techniques such as 3NF.
This knowledge partnered with experience in setting data standards, principles and data management approaches will be advantageous in this role.
