Job description
Driver Hire (Torbay) is recruiting Valeters for our client in Chudleigh, near Newton Abbot, on a temp-to-perm basis. If you have a keen eye for vehicle presentation and an attention to detail, this is an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills.
A valid UK / EU driving licence is essential, as you may be required to move vehicles as part of your role.
Position Details :
- Hourly Rate : £12.00 per hour.
- Working Hours : Monday to Friday, 08 : 00 - 16 : 30.
- Holiday Entitlement : 28 days (including public holidays), with an additional day per year after 5 years of service, up to 33 days.
- Pension Scheme : 5% employee and 3% employer contribution.
- Health & Wellbeing :
Access to the RISE Health and Wellbeing Service.
- Licence Requirement : Full UK / EU driving licence required.
Main Responsibilities :
- Follow instructions from the Valeting Manager.
- Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors to a high standard.
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets and seats.
- Perform detailed polishing of vehicles.
- Inspect vehicles for any damage and report issues.
- Follow health and safety guidelines for cleaning products and materials.
- Complete jobs within set timeframes.
- Move vehicles between sites when needed.
Essential Skills and Experience :
- Experience : Previous experience in vehicle detailing is desirable.
- Skills : Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and independently or as part of a team.
- Product Knowledge : Familiarity with detailing products and techniques.
- Health and Safety : Awareness of relevant regulations.
- Communication : Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Licence : Full UK / EU driving licence is essential.
This role requires good organisation,
familiarity with vehicle preparation, and the ability to meet deadlines. Training in polishing and detailing will be provided.
