Our client, a leading secondary school in Southampton renowned for its academic excellence and commitment to student success, is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Economics Teacher to join their esteemed faculty.
This full-time position, commencing in September, presents a unique chance to shape the next generation of economic thinkers and leaders.
The Ideal Candidate :
- Possesses a deep understanding of economic principles and theories.
- Is adept at crafting engaging and thought-provoking lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Has a proven track record of inspiring students and fostering a love of economics.
- Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, effectively building rapport with both students and colleagues.
- Is committed to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest trends in economic education.
The Role :
- Delivering a stimulating and rigorous Economics curriculum to students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Designing and implementing innovative lesson plans that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Preparing students for external examinations, including GCSE and A-Level Economics.
- Collaborating with the wider Economics department to enhance the school's academic provision.
- Contributing to the school's vibrant extracurricular activities,
such as economics clubs and competitions.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Economics or a related discipline.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Previous experience teaching Economics at the secondary level is preferred, but we also welcome applications from newly qualified teachers with a passion for the subject.
