An established teacher training school in Berkshire is currently recruiting for an intelligent and proactive teaching assistant to join them ASAP. The graduate would be working alongside the class teacher helping the children with their learning. This is an exciting opportunity for a top graduate to develop their experience within education prior to becoming a full qualified Primary Teacher. The school is in Windsor and there is parking on-site. The successful teaching assistant will work across KS1 and KS2.
A graduate with a degree graded 2:1 or above is ideal for this role and a graduate with some previous experience working with children is desirable. This relevant previous experience could include childcare, tutoring, helping within a nursery, in a sport setting, charity or in a similar classroom setting. However, this is not crucial - Graduates with no experience are still welcome!
The Primary school in Berkshire are looking for bright and enthusiastic graduates who are passionate about their input into a child's education. The graduate appointed will be supporting the children in their numeracy and literacy and your primary role will be to ensure each child is fulfilling the learning objective for each lesson.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Understanding of Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH)
- Ability to work with children with a range of needs: Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, behavioural challenges, sensory issues, physical disabilities and communication difficulties.
- Helping students develop emotional regulation and social skills
- Demonstrated Interest in working with children or in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- You are resilient, positive and caring

- 83 - 95 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications & client rate available)
- Long-term temporary position with opportunity for permanent
- Full-Time: Mon-Fri 8.30 am - 3.30 pm
- Experience desired but not essential
