We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Purpose Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our Sustainability Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Sustainability Officer. This global role encompasses strategic responsibility for social impact, across a dynamic FTSE, built on a heritage of leading with purpose and doing the right thing for communities to create positive impact. The role will drive our commitment to social purpose, with responsibility for overall leadership of our Social Purpose team and oversight of core initiatives including social value partnerships, community impact funds, and colleague engagement activities.

The postholder will join the Sustainability Leadership team working alongside impact leads for Environmental, Governance (ESG) and Europe, with the postholder bringing our purpose to life through impactful, measurable social initiatives and preparing the business as we enter the new regulatory landscape with focus on Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

The successful candidate will manage a team of three specialists in social partnerships, colleague engagement, and social measurement. Additionally, they will bring expertise in global social standards and be comfortable in identifying and managing risk, with understanding of key principles such as UN Sustainability Development Goals, contributing to strategy, the establishment and reporting on meaningful KPIs, and compliance within a highly regulated, FTSE-aligned environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage partnerships with organisations across our global footprint in the UK, Europe, India, Canada, and the US to drive social value and positive impact.

- Identify and align with regional and international organisations to maximize our reach and ensure partnerships resonate with local community needs and global social impact objectives.
- Oversee funds allocated to disaster relief, green initiatives, and other social impact projects, ensuring responsible and effective resource deployment.
- Allocate and manage community impact funds globally, monitoring and reporting outcomes to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and accountability to stakeholders.
- Expand colleague engagement in community impact efforts globally through volunteer programs, community grants, and campaigns.
- Champion a global approach to colleague engagement, inspiring participation in diverse markets while ensuring alignment with the Admiral’s core purpose.
- Identify, assess, and manage social impact-related risks,

such as risk of modern slavery, within our global operations.
- Monitor emerging risks in all operational regions and work closely with internal teams to implement policies that mitigate these risks.
- Ensure social responsibility standards and frameworks are in place, compliant with international regulations, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and FTSE-aligned governance
- Lead initiatives that align with recognised global standards and charters, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and the UN Global Compact.
- Integrate global standards into our social impact strategy, ensuring transparency and alignment with international expectations for social purpose and sustainability.

- Collaborate with ESG managers to evolve KPIs that reflect our commitments to these standards, contributing to Annual Reports and Sustainability Reports.
- Develop and refine our social impact strategy, identifying opportunities to grow and improve our initiatives in alignment with a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape and across our supply chain.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on social impact initiatives, highlighting progress, achievements, and strategic direction for the Board and Executive team.
- Collaborate in producing the Annual Report and Sustainability Report, ensuring comprehensive documentation and analysis of social impact metrics, progress against global standards, and alignment with regulatory frameworks.
- Lead and mentor a team of three professionals focused on social partnerships, colleague engagement,

and social measurement, promoting a supportive, purpose-driven team culture, encouraging innovation and accountability.

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications

- Extensive experience in global social impact strategy, with a strong understanding of corporate sustainability and social purpose.
- Proven experience managing social impact initiatives across regions and navigating regional nuances and regulatory expectations.
- Strong expertise in risk management, with experience identifying and mitigating risks, such as modern slavery, within international operations.
- Knowledge of international standards and charters, including UN SDGs, UN Global Compact, and related sustainability and social responsibility frameworks.

- Experience with the FTSE regulatory environment and familiarity with Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), ensuring compliance and contribution to corporate reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a multinational, corporate setting.
- Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation for impactful community programs.
- Proven experience in report writing and presentation, with the capability to communicate impact results effectively to senior stakeholders, including the Board and Executive team.

Degree in Social Sciences, Sustainability, Business Management, or a related field or relevant certifications in corporate sustainability, social responsibility, or community engagement are preferred but aren’t essential
