University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust are excited to invite you to apply for a Band 5 position on our acute Stroke Unit at St Richard's Hospital. You will be invited to interview on the Stroke Unit and will have the opportunity to meet staff and have a tour of the unit
We welcome applications from newly qualified and experienced nurses. No Stroke experience is necessary as full training will be given and supported in this field.
We have an award winning preceptorship programme that will allow you to transition through your first year with support and guidance. This is protected time away from your ward and allows you to network and grow within your peer group.

- As a Band 5 staff nurse you will be supported with learning new clinical skills and relevant Stroke nursing skills
- You will be responsible for looking after a group of patients with support from HCA's and senior nursing staff
- You will be looking after patients in the acute phase of their Stroke through to the rehabilitation phase
- You will be working alongside a dedicated team of allied health professionals and supported by daily MDT meetings and bespoke training on the ward
