Job description
About the Role
The Lecturer will contribute to the intellectual life and research culture of the Department and the University in their field.
They will make contributions to student education and experience through curriculum development and the delivery of teaching activities in the general subject area / s of global criminology, state crime, and state violence and / or corporate violence.
We would particularly welcome applications from academics who are able to teach flexibly across the Department of Law's core undergraduate modules, as well as those who can support teaching in Company Law, Intellectual Property Law and Competition Law.
About You
You will have a PhD in a relevant field and a track-record of high-quality research commensurate to your career stage, including publications in national and international journals, with clear and ambitious plans for future research.
You will have experience of teaching at undergraduate and / or postgraduate level and an understanding of student support.
A higher education teaching accreditation is desirable.
About the School
The School of Law is one of eight schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and has two organisational units : the Department of Law and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS).
Established in 1965, the Department of Law runs thriving undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has a well-established international reputation for innovative research.
