GSL are working with a friendly Special Needs school in Portsmouth who are looking for a positive and bubbly person to join their team.
This special school caters for pupils aged 2-19 years who have complex learning difficulties. In addition to their learning difficulties, some pupils have other needs associated with autistic spectrum condition, medical conditions, speech, language and communication difficulties.
An ideal candidate will have an energetic and can do’ personality, ready to inspire children.
They will have a passion for working with children and will have experience supporting people who have complex learning difficulties.
Job role :
- Working under the guidance of a teacher supporting small groups of pupils with learning tasks.
- Supporting children to achieve their personalised EHCP targets.
- As the children have a range of medical needs there will be an element of personal care involved in the role.
- Supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and communication skills.
- Safeguarding will be your number one priority ensuring the welfare of the pupils.
Job specification :
- Full time 8 : 30am 3 : 30pm (Mon Fri)
- £83.33 - £95 per day
- Temporary to permanent contract
- Location : Portsmouth
- Start date : ASAP

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
