Care Assistant / Support Worker - preferably based locally

Burgh Heath Lodge, is a small homely residential care home near Epsom town centre. We support nine elderly residents with mental health and learning disability needs.

Purpose : Care assistant / support worker to provide personal care, support and assistance to all residents recognising their individuality and independence.

To support the manager in the running of the Burgh Heath Lodge

Covid safe : Staff are provided PPE, covid training and covid tested regularly.

Benefits for care assistant / support worker :

£11.70 ph (Depending on experience)

Main Responsibilities for care assistant / support worker :

To ensure that care is delivered in a manner that demonstrates respect for the privacy, dignity and rights of residents at all times.

To assist residents to remain as independent as possible and to help them to exercise as much choice in their daily lives as they are able.

To assist residents with all aspects of their personal, social and psychological care as appropriate.

To work as part of the team, maintaining clear / accurate records, good working relationships with colleagues, clients, peers and relatives.

To participate in regular supervisory sessions.

To adhere to the Policies and Procedures (see policies and procedures folder kept in the office).

Day to Day :

Personal Care this includes to help residents wash, shower, bath, dress, assist with medication, eating, drinking, assist services users with mobility problems and other types of personal care where necessary.

To assist residents in keeping their rooms clean by; hovering, dusting,





tidying, laundry, ironing, bed making and other general household duties where necessary.

To prepare breakfast, lunches, dinners or other meals, such as light snacks, as necessary.

To carry out the above task diligently and to keep all information and knowledge in confidence.
