Job description
There is a special school based in Newham that caters to KS3-KS4 students who are on the Autistic spectrum and have complex needs.
The Ideal candidate would be supporting children with ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition) and SEN and will be required to support individuals on a group and a 1 : 1 basis, assisting with classwork, behaviour management and helping pupils with their daily routine.
In special schools' consistency is key this role is a full-time position requires you to work five days a week for the rest of the academic year.
You will join a well-balanced team who are here to help and assist. The school has an excellent reputation locally and beyond.

The Ideal Candidate :
ASC TA experience (min 1 year)
De-escalation qualification (Team Teach)
Happy to work in a Team
Happy to help with personal care
PECS or MAKATON
Encouraging attitude
Behaviour management
Successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory references, as well as possessing an up to date DBS or be willing to apply for one through Protocol Education.
You will be required to work 8 : 30 4 : 00 on days you are available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
