Senior / Lead CAD Technician
Our client, a leading consultancy in the Rail sector, is currently seeking an experienced Senior / Lead CAD Technician to join their team.
This is a permanent position based in Bristol, working 3-4 days in office.

Job Overview :
As a Senior / Lead CAD Technician,
you will be responsible for using your expertise in 3D CAD, specifically MicroStation, to contribute to the design and development of rail projects, with a focus on bridges & structures.
You will work closely with the wider team to ensure accurate and high-quality drawings.
Key Responsibilities :
- Produce detailed CAD drawings using MicroStation software
- Collaborate with engineers to develop design solutions
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Conduct quality checks on drawings to maintain accuracy
- Assist with the coordination of project deadlines
- Attend and contribute to design meetings
- Provide technical support to junior team members
Job Requirements :
- Significant experience in 3D CAD, specifically using MicroStation
- Strong background in rail projects, particularly within the Bridges discipline
- Knowledge and understanding of bridge design and construction
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
