Position :
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head of Year to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will lead and inspire a year group, fostering a positive learning environment and supporting students in achieving their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the pastoral care and academic progress of students within the designated year group.
- Monitor attendance, behaviour, and welfare of students,
implementing effective strategies to support individual needs.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the wellbeing and development of students.
- Promote a positive school culture through proactive engagement with students, staff, and the wider school community.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies, particularly those related to student welfare and safeguarding.
Requirements :
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
- Proven experience in a pastoral or leadership role within a school setting.
- Strong understanding of the UK education system and OFSTED framework.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
