Job Description
This UK based transport group are now seeking to appoint a Deputy Company Secretary on a full time, permanent basis. Following a restructure of the department, this brand new role will report directly to the General Counsel & Company Secretary. This is a fantastic new role with real opportunity to spread your wings, providing advice and support at Board level.
You'll be working very closely with the CEO and the senior leadership team, as well as all board members, providing support and advice on all aspects of corporate governance. Having full access to Board meetings, you'll develop close working relationships with the Board Chair,
Exec and NEDs as well as wider committee members - at many times acting as a direct point of contact.
This role can be considered standalone in its nature with no other company secretarial members of staff forming part of the team at this time. Therefore, you'll need to be comfortable working in an autonomous fashion, managing your own workload and at times, conflicting priorities.
A full and detailed job description is available on request. This role would best fit a Company Secretary or Deputy Company Secretary with extensive experience of operating at the highest level. The role will be offered with a very competitive salary and benefits package. The role will ideally be based 2-3 days per week from the office in Greater Manchester. Occasional (domestic) travel to other sites may be required for Board meetings.
