About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of young mathematicians. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating Maths lessons across the curriculum,
catering to Key Stage 3/4/5 in line with the National Curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and challenging Maths lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities and learning styles.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to ensure all students develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and can apply them effectively.
- Integrate technology effectively to enhance learning and student engagement.
Assessment and Feedback:
- Design and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback that helps students develop their mathematical skills and confidence.
Curriculum Development:
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Maths curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's vision, national requirements, and the latest advancements in Maths education.
- Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in Maths pedagogy,
implementing innovative approaches to enhance student learning.
Supporting Student Development:
- Build strong and positive relationships with students, fostering their confidence and enjoyment of Maths.
- Provide targeted support and intervention strategies to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
- Promote a growth mindset and encourage a love of learning.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the Maths department to share best practices and ensure a consistent approach to teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the wider school community and participate in departmental and whole-school events.
