Job description
Main duties of the job To lead in driving the compliance with national guidance and quality assurance of an effective safe staffing system - such as NQB & Developing Workforce Safeguards - with the Deputy Director of Nursing and Ongoing development, delivery and monitoring of safe staffing for the Trust board and external agencies.
To lead on the training and education of the Mental Health Optimal Staffing Tool (MHOST) to all inpatient ward areas to support annual establishment setting across the trust including the inter-reliability assessment process.
Continue to lead on and improve the reporting of the Trust’s NMC referrals and regulatory issues,
advising the deputy director of nursing and Heads of nursing on appropriate intervention and action.
Ensure the organisation is meeting the statutory reporting requirements of local Commissioners, Department of Health, and NHSE / I.
Ensure the Information Governance aspects of dealing with patient data and reporting are recognised and where risks are identified processes are put in place to minimise these.
Lead on key areas and as required. Examine complex information and data sets to inform the nursing workforce planning. Produce written documentation including status reports and Trust Board reports which require explanations of complex issues ensuring the communication is appropriate to the target audience.
