Kellogg College, Banbury Road, Oxford, OX2 6PN Contract type : fixed term for 6 months Hours : Full time, 36.5 hours per week About the role We have an exciting opportunity to join the Development and Alumni Relations team at Kellogg College as our Alumni Relations and Legacy Officer.
The post holder will play a key role in fostering excellent alumni relations that will build and strengthen relationships between the College and its community of alumni, friends, students and donors, maximising interest in and engagement with the college.
The post holder will also assess the current status of legacy giving at Kellogg,
working closely with the Director of Development and Alumni Relations to execute the College’s legacy giving strategy.
The post holder will be responsible for alumni communications, including the termly alumni newsletter, relevant pages on the college website and contribution towards college publications and social media sites, collaborating closely with the College’s Communications Team.
They will also implement solicitation strategies to secure legacy gift pledges, liaising with the Director of Development and Alumni Relations to determine the specific proposition that should be put forward to a prospect, and the terms in order to secure the prospects greatest support.
You will be joining the University of Oxford’s most international college, with a unique mix of students : it is the University’s leading college for students reading for degrees on a part-time basis and has a strong and vibrant body of full-time students.
The College’s wider academic community includes members drawn from across the full range of academic disciplines in the University.
About you You will have strong interpersonal skills,
with experience of dealing with a wide range of people including students, staff, senior academics, external partners and international visitors;
and experience of being responsible for the organisation of small and large scale events (for example, conferences and seminars).
You will possess strong organisational skills, with experience of prioritising a varied workload and meeting deadlines using your own initiative with minimal supervision.
You will have demonstrated success in fundraising through implantation of strategic plans for development and alumni relations, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Application Process
