Principal Structural Engineer

This leading firm is part of an international group who provide a comprehensive range of projects, including defence, civil new build and decommissioning schemes.
Working as part of the group will afford global opportunities with unlimited career progression.
Your day-to-day role will be to manage projects through the entire lifecycle, from concept design to on-site construction and completion.
You will lead a dynamic design team undertaking traditional and bespoke designs in RC,
steel and masonry structures for defence, nuclear decommissioning and nuclear new build projects.
Your designs will include normal and extreme loading scenarios, including seismic design.
The role :
- Deliver nuclear design work, inspections and construction site support on projects for a range of clients within the UK and overseas.
- Concept and Feasibility studies for multi discipline design projects.
- Analysis and Design using engineering software such as Tekla and Robot as well as producing hand calculations.
- Prepare Calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, Technical reports, Inter discipline design coordination and supervision.
- Be responsible for the management of project delivery, as well as people management of Senior CS&A; Engineers and CS&A; Engineers.
Requirements :
- BEng or MEng in civil / structural engineering
- Chartered (ICE or IStructE) or working towards
- Understanding of relevant legal and regulatory standards
