Join Close Brothers Central Finance Team where you will support the Head of External Reporting and Accounting Policy on the delivery of group consolidated and plc financial reporting including the annual and half year reports, month end and Audit Committee papers, with a strong focus on the complex financial and accounting impact of various initiatives and projects.
Maintain a strong working relationship with PwC,
the group’s auditors, and provide appropriate support including accounting papers and responses to audit challenges to ensure a successful and efficient audit process.
Provide technical accounting support and training to business units across the group, as well as implement accounting and disclosure changes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance
- Support the Head of External Reporting on the delivery of group consolidated and plc financial reporting including the annual and half year reports, month end and Audit Committee papers
- Responsibility over the accounting, analysis and reporting of various projects, initiatives and other workstreams as required including business disposal and post-disposal separation work
- Act as a subject matter expert on technical accounting (IFRS and occasionally FRS 102), prepare and review technical papers, and provide advisory support to all business units
- Maintain a strong working relationship with PwC and ensure audit queries and requests are challenged and addressed as appropriate
People
Manage inter departmental collaboration while encouraging teamwork and the development of strong working relationships
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE.ARE :
- Strong experience and knowledge of financial reporting and control, audit, and technical accounting (IFRS) within financial services
- Proven track record of delivering effective reporting under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Can demonstrate experience of working and collaborating with others, including senior management, across functional and geographic boundaries
- Strong interest in understanding commercial operations and the key drivers of value within the businesses
- ACA or ACCA, minimum 3 years PQE
