Procurement Automotive PM - Strategy
1st Executive have just released this Procurement Vehicle Lead for this Iconic Automotive Manufacturer who have built this "Worldwide" brand since the late 1800's.
Point of sale has seen an incredible surge over the past 3 years taking the UK turnover to £1bn. This is double since 2021 due to worldwide marketing and online reach.
Directly because of these new projections they need a career focused Procurement Category Buyer within this best of class Procurement Team.
This position is a pure Greenfield opportunity due to its amazing found growth and therefore gives this Procurement Professional a capped career path.

The Procurement Vehicle Lead will project manage specific vehicle platforms, liaising with Product
Planning, Engineering Platform Leads, Project Management Office and Procurement to develop
platform strategies and ensure the delivery of all Procurement activities on new bike programmes on
time.
Through working cross functionally, they will develop timing plans and sourcing initiatives with the aim
of :
- Supporting on time delivery of new vehicle programmes within their platform group.
- Ensure those plans support maintaining and building on our high-quality standards.
- Reduce development lead-times of new model parts
- Deliver programmes to budget for BOM cost and investment
- Facilitate bringing new market technologies to our products expediently.
Through your work you will ensure cross functional collaboration with product, design and QC teams to
arrive at balanced / considered outcomes.
One team philosophy.
Work with the Commodity Team in the UK, Asia and the far East as well as the wider product,
design and QC functions and Procurement within the Project Teams. Where appropriate you will
escalate issues in a timely way to ensure deliverables are met.
Ideally 5 years strategic Procurement experience or :

Duties and Responsibilities :
- Support development of programme business case during pre-concept phase
- Help define specification and scheme reviews based on available technologies with Project stakeholders
- Support vehicle benchmarking activities
- Develop and maintain budgets for bill of materials and investments
- Support decision making in resource conflicts between supplier capability, timing, technology and costs for projects
- Support ensuring supplier nominations are on time and to budget
- Facilitate prototype sourcing to meet early build phases
- Drive Procurement team to ensure full component availability
- Complete and report on new model introduction planning objectives for procurement at all gateways
- To undertake and assist with projects as required by your Manager.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required by your Manager.
