Responsibilities
- Plandeliver and assess engaging science lessons tailored to meet thediverse needs of students with special educationalneeds
- Create a stimulating learning environmentthat encourages exploration inquiry and criticalthinking
- Develop individualized education plans(IEPs) and adapt the curriculum to ensure all students can accessand enjoy science content
- Utilize a variety ofteaching methods and resources to accommodate different learningstyles and abilities
- Foster a safe andinclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel confident toexpress their ideas and ask questions
- Monitorand evaluate student progress providing constructive feedback andsupport to enhance their learningexperience
- Collaborate with the SEN team andother professionals to provide comprehensive support forstudents
- Participate in schoolwide initiativesto promote science education and encourage students to engage withscientific concepts outside theclassroom
ExperienceandQualifications
- QualifiedTeacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experienceteaching science preferably in a special educational needscontext
- Strong understanding of effectiveteaching strategies for students with learningdifficulties
- Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills with a commitment to fostering positiverelationships with students
- A clear DBScheck
- Legal right to work in theUK
