We are seeking an enthusiasticSenior to Principal Bat Ecologist to join our busy ecologydepartment within our Exeter office.

Our team of over 120 ecologists work out of fiveoffices across the UK.
Could you be one of theexperienced talented and energetic professionals helping tocontinue the development of the team responding to our clients andkeeping FPCR moving forwards whilst responding to new challenges inecological practice The positions provide the right candidates withan ideal opportunity to be a part of a motivated team offeringtechnical advice to a diverse range of clients covering projectsacross all aspects of ecology.
Aboutyou
- Degree level orequivalent academic qualification in Ecology or related field;
- Full Membership of Chartered Institute ofEcology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) or other similar;
- Level 2 Bat Licence
- Aminimum of 3years project management experience with excellentclient liaison skills.
- Good knowledge of bestpractice survey techniques relevant wildlife legislation andprotected species licensing;
- An advancedknowledge of ecology and wildlife protection in the context of theUK planning system;
- Experience of advisingclients on Biodiversity Net Gain including production ofBiodiversity Impact Assessments (BIA) and use of the DEFRA metric;
- Demonstrable experience in complex reportwriting inclusive but not limited to Preliminary EcologicalAppraisal (PEA) reports Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA)Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) documents Species and HabitatManagement Plans;
- A level of competency inMicrosoft Office software and preferably (although not essential)some knowledge of GIS packages.
- Excellentcommunication skills; and
- A full clean UKdriving licence and access to vehicle.
