We are looking to recruit :

- x full time permanent progressed Social Worker within the Winsford and Northwich Adults Learning Disabilities team.
- x full time permanent non-progressed Social Worker within the Chester and Ellesmere Port Adults Learning Disabilities team.

Applications from newly qualified social workers (non-progressed / grade post) will also be considered. We would welcome applications from Approved Mental Health Professionals.

The Adult Learning Disability Team Supports Adults with Learning Disabilities to live a fulfilled life with access to social care services as required.

This is a rewarding area of social work, with a focus on person centred planning and outcome focused practice. We work with a high number of people with varied needs ranging from complex health to forensic needs, who require skilled interventions.

The team is a specialist service working alongside and in partnership with Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS trust. The role is diverse, and no two days will be the same.

The candidates will require the ability to form relationships with service users, families,





and other professionals to allow for successful outcomes.

This is an experienced team of highly motivated, hardworking, and skilled professionals, many of whom are longstanding in the service.

We are looking for dedicated and highly motivated team players to join us as Social Workers working in line with the Care Act .

Our Social Workers play a critical role in supporting people to develop creative and innovative solutions to meet the outcomes they want to achieve.

- You will have the opportunity to;

- Develop and progress in your career through training and development opportunities in a variety of pathways : we meet the cost of your professional registration fee as standard.
- Experience working with people with Learning Disabilities and or Mental Health needs and an understanding of the policy context surrounding these areas of practice.
- Understanding of the complex working areas of forensic case work
- Understanding of complex health and care needs

You will have :

- CQSW / CSS / Diploma / Degree in Social Work or equivalent (Essential)
- Social Work England Registration (Essential)
- Be required to undertake an enhanced DBS plus Adults Barred List (Essential)
- Statutory and policy base of Social Work (Essential)






- Appreciation of recent developments in service provision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, carers and families.
- Ability to cope positively with change and an ability to promote positive changes to make a difference.
- Awareness of importance of multi-disciplinary working and an integrated approach.
- Ability to carry out assessment and support planning in line with relevant legislation.
- You are confident, energetic and enthusiastic as well as sensitive and resilient.
- Self-motivating individual with the passion to make a difference in adult social care.
- Resilient personal stress management.
