The Department
As a Real Estate Finance Solicitor, you'll be integral to the firm's thriving finance team, handling diverse transactions, including acquisition, investment, development, joint venture, and mezzanine finance. You'll also work closely with corporate and real estate teams, gaining exposure to both borrower and lender clients. This role is a great opportunity to build client relationships and develop your expertise within a well-established yet growing practice.
The Role
You will:
- Advise on and lead a wide range of real estate finance transactions, acting for both lenders and borrowers.
- Develop strong relationships with high-profile clients, managing transactions independently with the support needed for professional growth.
- Draft and negotiate facility agreements, security documents, and manage inter-creditor arrangements.
- Work with off-shore counsel on real estate finance matters while collaborating across corporate, real estate, and finance teams.
Requirements
- Qualified Banking and Finance Lawyer with at least 3 years' PQE, ideally gained at a reputable firm.
- Confidence in advising high-value clients and providing commercial solutions.
- Experience in drafting facility agreements, negotiating security documents, and handling inter-creditor arrangements.
- Familiarity with the LMA standard real estate finance documents and a strong understanding of real estate finance concepts.
