The Company Trainee Recruitment Consultant
Working across the legal space, this firm specialises in 4 core areas; including Corporate, Banking, and Investment Funds. Each consultant will specialise within a certain practice area and get to know as many lawyers in that space as possible. The role is all about building lasting relationships, and this is done by getting out and meeting your network for coffees on a regular basis.
All consultants have earned over £50k in their first year in the job,
with many going on to earn over £80k in their second year. As well as great earnings, you also have a fast-tracked career progression, with people hitting Partner in just 5 years.
The firm are only focused on London currently but do work with a lot of US focused Law Firms. Over the next few years, they are looking at expanding into the US and Europe, meaning if relocation is something youre looking for in the future, they will be able to support this.
The Benefits Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Starting salary of £28k, which rises to £32k when you are promoted to Consultant
- Uncapped commission structure with no threshold - scaling to 45%
- OTE in year one of £55k, year two of £70k, year three of £100k+
- Direct support from the Partners of the business with ongoing coaching and exposure to your client and candidate base from day one
- Clear career progression, seeing your first promotion within 9months, and opportunity to make Partner within 5 years

The Role Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Meeting with Lawyers on a weekly basis and building long-term relationships
- Meeting with potential clients and pitching your success to them, negotiating terms of business, and understanding their hiring priorities
- Sourcing new candidates through headhunting on LinkedIn and cold-calling
- Managing the interview process from start to finish, ensuring feedback is passed on within 24 hours
- Negotiating contracts of employment on your candidates behalf
- Building your online brand and advising your network on market trends
The Requirements Trainee Recruitment Consultant
- Strong work ethic - demonstrated through work experience
- Naturally competitive - competed in sports, debate, etc.
- Excellent communication - confidence speaking with a range of individuals
- Financial drive - desire to earn over a basic salary
- Ambitious - motivated to build a long-lasting career and climb the ladder
