FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to strengthen their engineering team.

Senior Civil Engineer role:
• Work closely with senior leadership and be responsible for coordinating and producing design documents and drawings for various projects.
• Deliver high-quality designs that contribute to the company's profitability while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Senior Civil Engineer responsibilities:
• Produce cost-effective design layouts that meet project requirements, are easily constructible, and minimise overall costs. Consider design time, materials and potential impacts on other disciplines.
• Provide estimates and feedback to the proposals department.
• Follow established procedures and processes to contribute to the department's ongoing development, and assist in developing and monitoring them.
• Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
• Operate with a customer-first focus, ensuring all stakeholders' needs are met.
• Provide leadership and development for staff.
• Ensure that designs incorporate environmental considerations and comply with all health and safety regulations.
Senior Civil Engineer requirements:
• Significant experience delivering complex water industry engineering projects
• Experience managing and mentoring staff in designing water and sewage treatment plants.
• Membership in a professional engineering institution, preferably chartered or nearing chartership.
• Driving license is essential.
• Relevant engineering HND is essential.
• Relevant engineering degree (e.g. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) is desirable.
• Ability to optimise designs and create cost-effective plant layouts.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical proposals in a clear and confident manner.
