Salary: £38,100-£44,400 (plus London Weighting (£5,319pa) if London based), depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Job Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Advisor to join the BMA team and support the Engineering function within Product Group.
Product Group
Product Group is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of the BBC’s diverse and unparalleled portfolio of digital products – including iPlayer, Sounds, Bitesize, and the BBC News and BBC Sport apps and website. Product Group is an agile organisation, where individuals from different disciplines work together in multifunctional teams to build the products and the capabilities which support them. It comprises more than 1,000 people, located across the UK.
Business Management and Administration (BMA)
The Business Management and Administration team works in partnership with all professional services and corporate functions accountable to the BBC Chief Operating Officer (including Product, Technology, HR, Finance, Legal, and Commercial).
The Business Advisor role will be embedded within Product Group, working to the BMA Business Partner for Product Group.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Managing the end-to-end administration of the Product Engineering Assessment Centres in partnership with the business, Talent Acquisition, HR and Finance.
• Point of contact for Product Engineering and their Assessment Centres, supporting the respective leadership teams, providing business advice and support.
• Responsible for producing, collating and providing insightful and timely information in response to business requirements, including resource planning.
• Critical member of a wider cohort of Business Advisors who work closely in collaboration to ensure consistency of approach and uniform procedural development and change across departments.
• Understand and utilise the BM&A; Support Hub.
• Collaborating and driving consistency across BMA.
Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience
Essential
• Ability to build & maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of senior stakeholders, managing multiple priorities and requirements, with a clear connection and involvement in Senior Leadership processes and functions for their business areas.
• Being a proactive member of a team, working together and supporting each other to provide professional and consistent Business support
• Proactive and autonomous decision maker, takes responsibility and ownership for outcomes. Ability to work with limited supervision,
using own initiative to resolve problems
• Forward planning and responsive to business demands. Actively look for, suggest and implement continuous improvements for the business. Supporting the implementation of new processes, tech and approaches as required, within team and across the business as necessary.
• Effective communication and influencing skills both orally and in writing and ability to target content for the audience. Ability to deliver difficult messages and insights.
