We are partnering with a highly regarded secondary school in Hillingdon to find a talented and dedicated History Teacher to join their vibrant department.
This exciting opportunity offers a full-time or part-time permanent position, commencing this September.
The Role :
- Develop and deliver engaging and informative History lessons aligned with the National Curriculum across Key Stage 3 and potentially GCSE.
- Cultivate a love for historical exploration, critical thinking, and analytical skills in your students.
- Design and implement innovative lesson plans that spark curiosity and connect the past to the present.
- Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages respectful debate and independent thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the History department to ensure continued success and development of the curriculum.
Optional, but desirable) Play a role in mentoring and supporting the professional development of colleagues.
The Ideal Candidate :
- Possesses Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in History.
- Holds a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience, ideally within a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of current History curriculum trends and assessment practices.
- Exhibits exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Maintains a genuine enthusiasm for creating a dynamic learning space that fosters historical exploration and critical thinking.
- Thrives in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
