Full job description
As a Support Worker, you will be an essential member of our team with a friendly, calm and compassionate approach. You will provide support and enable our clients to fulfil their ambitions and potential. Together we will ensure we make a positive difference in our client’s lives.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Support Worker
To work with the young people according to the individuals needs, providing focussed work as planned and directed.
To assist in the co-ordination of activities within the Unit and ensure that they are well managed and produce safe and consistent care.
To be involved in and organise activities which are in the best interests and meet the needs of those looked after.
Training & Development.
Administration and report writing.
Ensure security of the House, including contents, confidential records, cash, keys, furniture and equipment, residents’ clothing and possessions.
To assist the Manager in attending to the health of the service users, arranging medical and dental examinations, and maintaining high standards of hygiene within the home.
Participate in training courses as arranged and undertake professional training if the opportunity is offered though secondment.
Observe confidentiality at all times in relation to the Home and its residents, recognising the vulnerability of the residents.

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Support Environment: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
- UK driving licence (preferred)
