Job description
We are looking for a Dual Site Assistant Caretaker to work morning and afternoons.
Applicants should be physically fit, have good DIY and communication skills. You will be working across 2 local schools.
Working pattern Mon Fri 7.00am 10.30pm and 3pm 6.30pm with occasional evening and weekend overtime. The vacancy could be split between 2 part-time posts for the right candidates.
Ideally applicants will live in the local area to be available for alarm call outs outside of their normal working hours.

Qualifications
- Capable of working at heights
- Significant experience or skills in a trade
- Competent at basic building repairs and maintenance.
Knowledge and Understanding
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to perform the physical tasks required by the post including lifting, carrying and pushing various equipment to undertake the duties of the post
- To be able to use small industrial, electrical and mechanical equipment.
Skills and Attributes
- Excellent speaking and listening skills, the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- DIY skills
- Helpful, positive, calm and caring nature
- Able to plan, organise and prioritise
- To be able to keep accurate records of check & tests
- Able to record and manage premises and safety data
- The ability to create a clean and safe learning environment
