We are seeking a passionate and innovative Art Teacher to join our vibrant educational community in North West London. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for the arts, a dedication to fostering a creative learning environment, and a strong desire to help students express their artistic talents.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring art lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets national standards and encourages creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students, helping them to refine their skills and build confidence in their artistic abilities.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages experimentation and a love for the arts.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, participate in professional development, and contribute to the overall success of the school.
- Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, such as art clubs, exhibitions, and community art projects, to enrich the students’ educational experience.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, guardians, and the wider school community.
Qualifications and Experience :
- A degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
- A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching art at secondary school level is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various art techniques, mediums, and history.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their creativity and artistic potential.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
