Autism Support Teaching Assistant Experience required Islington September 2024 start
An Outstanding primary school based in Islington are on the hunt for an Autism Support Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism (ASD).
This role does required experience of working with SEN children on a personal or work-based level.
You will be tasked with supporting a wide variation of needs including Autism, ADHD, Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH), Speech and Language (SP&L;) and more!
Personal or professional experience with SEN is desirable for this role. This does not have to be direct school experience;
any transferrable skills when working with SEN children will be considered.

JOB DESCRIPTION :
- Autism Support Teaching Assistant
- Support students with SEN on a day-to-day basis
- Liaising with Class Teachers and the SENDCO regarding progress of children
- Provide a stimulating and safe learning environment for children
- Delivering specialist interventions
- Liaising with the school’s therapists
- September 2024 Start Long -Term & Full Time
- £85- £100 per day
- Located in the Borough of Islington
PERSON SPECIFICATION :
- Autism Support Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant
- Childcare related experience, ideally with a SEN focus
- You MUST be resilient, patient, calm-natured, empathetic & adaptable
- A hardworking and driven individual who will exceed all expectations of the role requirements
- Graduates encouraged
