We are partnering with a highly regarded Ofsted "Good" secondary school in Hillingdon to find a talented and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join their vibrant Design and Technology department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual, with a full-time or part-time permanent position available, starting this September.
In This Rewarding Role, You Will :
- Develop and deliver engaging and informative Food Technology lessons, catering to Key Stage 3 and GCSE curriculums.
- Ignite a passion for healthy eating, culinary skills, and food science within your students.
- Create and implement innovative lesson plans that adhere to national standards and departmental objectives.
- Foster a safe and productive learning environment by maintaining a well-equipped kitchen and demonstrating safe food handling practices.
- Contribute collaboratively to the overall growth and success of the Design and Technology department.
Optional, but desirable) Play a role in mentoring and supporting the professional development of colleagues.
We Are Seeking a Candidate Who :
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design and Technology with a specialization in Food Technology.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of current curriculum trends and assessment practices specific to Food Technology.
- Exhibits exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Holds a genuine passion for creating a dynamic learning space that cultivates student curiosity and culinary exploration.
- Thrives in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
