The team you’ll work with :
HSBC Innovation Banking’s Strategic Fund Solutions ( SFS ) team is responsible for managing key aspects of the bank’s relationships with its Private Equity, Private Credit and Venture Capital clients.
SFS optimises the client experience through dedicated relationship management and delivering the breadth of the bank’s products to this sector, including banking, lending, treasury, and foreign exchange.
The value you’ll add :
You will be a Senior Vice President within the Business Development ( BD’) team. This BD role will focus on new business origination whilst working closely alongside the Relationship Management team, who are responsible for the expansion of existing relationships.
A sound understanding of internal underwriting guidelines & standards is imperative.
What you can expect to be doing :
Business Development :
This is a high impact position that contributes to the overall growth of the team. This will involve working closely with the BD team to originate new business and articulate ideas & strategies to continuously improve our origination efforts.
The role will also involve driving the success of new products in market.
Market Visibility :
Attendance at networking events & conferences : Seek out opportunities to represent HSBC Innovation Banking at events and drive the comprehensive events schedule alongside our marketing experts.
Establish referral sources, regularly meeting with service providers to build and maintain a network.
Curate events that bring clients together and build a sense of community.
Client Relationships / Cross-Sell :
Act as a brand ambassador for HSBC Innovation Banking, and in conjunction with the Relationship Management team, manage a set of assigned client relationships.
Evaluate client relationships to ensure HSBC Innovation Banking is connected to the key decision makers.
Requirements
Strong understanding, evidenced within a similar role, of the structure of Private Equity / Venture Capital firms
Understanding and working knowledge of full product suite available to Fund Finance clients
Proven experience in a business development role with a passion to acquire, cultivate and grow client relationships and build deep connections with key individuals
