As a Residential Childcare Worker, you'll be at the heart of our team, ensuring each child has a safe, enjoyable, and enriching experience during their stay.

What You'll Do :







- Provide compassionate care and support to children and young people with disabilities.
- Work closely with the children, creating a positive and engaging environment during their short breaks.
- Be part of a dynamic team, contributing to a high-quality service with real impact.
- Enjoy flexible work patterns, including sleep-ins and waking night shifts, allowing you to embrace variety in your role.

We're Looking for People Who :

- Have experience working with children and young people.
- Have worked within safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Are experienced in record keeping and documentation.
- Hold a full driving licence (or can meet the mobility requirements of the role).

In return, Barnardo's offers a reward package that includes a competitive salary, 26 days annual leave and 10 statutory / public holidays (pro-rata) per annum, a contributory pension scheme, an additional holiday purchase scheme and staff discounts.

Location : Randalstown, Co. Antrim

Hours : 30 hours per week

Contract Type : Permanent

Salary : Starting from £12.68 per hour. Based on 30 hours, this is gross salary £19780.80.

The full-time equivalent salary for 37 hours in the salary range is : £24,398.40 - £29,172.00.

Applicants must be registered with the NI Social Care Council (NISCC) or willing to register by appointment.

The successful candidate must also undertake an enhanced Child and Adult Barred AccessNI check.

Whilst the full pay band and salary range is advertised, our approach to starting salaries is to appoint between the minimum to mid-point of the pay band this ensures that pay progression steps are available to reward our colleagues annually based on their contribution to excellence and alignment to our values and behaviours.
