Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and imaginative Art lessons that cater to the needs of students at different academic levels
- Nurture and develop students' artistic skills, creativity, and appreciation of art
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through various formative and summative assessments
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their artistic techniques and concepts
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular projects that integrate art into other subject areas
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing their creativity
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate regularly with parents regarding students' progress and achievements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching art to students in a primary or secondary school setting
- Strong knowledge of various artistic techniques and mediums
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop their artistic abilities
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with current trends and developments in art education
