The opportunity

This role will lead the HNW Personal Lines pricing team, which includes home, motor and travel portfolios.
This key position will manage a team delivering consistent, top-quality analysis, facilitate technical and market pricing changes and support the wider business to track against their financial targets.
What will you be doing?
Reporting to the PL Pricing Lead, you will be responsible for the following :
- Lead the delivery of pricing support for our HNW business through data analysis and modelling.
- Manage a team of three analysts from graduate to nearly qualified level.
- Lead the engagement with internal stakeholders through excellent communication.
- Demonstrate knowledge of relevant actuarial disciplines and procedures, including claim trend analysis and predictive modelling, to be able to provide first class service to internal customers.
- Regular reporting of key trends on the HNW portfolios.
- Regular liaison with the Retail Pricing Lead, Underwriting, Reserving, Claims and Finance teams in communicating and understanding key portfolio trends.
- Develop & maintain actuarial systems and incorporate efficiencies or improvements as required.
- Support and supervise junior colleagues through coaching of technical and soft skills.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture.
What are we looking for?
- Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience gained in an Actuarial role
- Market, risk and business awareness
- Highly numerate and analytical
- Ability to manage own and other team members work portfolio
- Excellent time management
- PC Skills MS Office suite essential, PowerBI, SQL & R knowledge would be an advantage
- Experience in managing pricing portfolios, especially in Personal Lines markets, would be an advantage
- Pricing background desirable,
but someone in reserving or capital modelling looking to make the move to pricing would be considered.
