About the Role :
- Design and deliver engaging and informative English lessons across all year groups,
adhering to the National Curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters a love of literature, language, and communication skills.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of core English principles, analytical skills, and creative expression.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable).
- Collaborate with colleagues in the English department to enhance the curriculum and contribute to school-wide events.
The Ideal Candidate :
- Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for English education and a proven track record of success in raising student achievement.
- Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Encourages a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking in students.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and individual strengths.
- Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
