Science Teacher Sought for Outstanding Secondary School in Croydon
We are pleased to partner with a high-achieving secondary school in Croydon, recognized for its "Outstanding" Ofsted rating and commitment to providing a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
They are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their exceptional Science department in a full-time, permanent position.
Position Summary :
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the school's continued success by inspiring and nurturing young scientific minds.
This role involves delivering engaging and informative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for science and equipping students with essential scientific knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and deliver high-quality Science lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's high academic standards.
- Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, curiosity, and a passion for scientific inquiry.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement personalized learning strategies to maximize individual potential.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and the wider school community to enhance the curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.
- Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Science education.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a Science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 3 and 4.

- Passionate about Science and its real-world applications, with a strong commitment to student success.
- Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently, demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
- A strong understanding of effective teaching methodologies and assessment strategies.
