The Office of Applied AI (OAAI) is a team within Wholesale Group Data Technology tasked with delivering world-class Generative AI experiences to our colleagues and clients in an ethical and responsible manner.

The team is looking to expand its Data Integration team, to allow more data to be utilised by Generative AI, unlocking new insights, enhancing decision-making processes, and creating innovative solutions that drive efficiency and value for our colleagues, clients, and the broader organization.

In this role you will :

Act as the Technical Lead for the Model Safety and Evaluation pod, interfacing with Product Owners and business stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of business requirement prior to initiating design and development.

This involves hands-on coding, solving technical problems, writing JIRA tickets and providing expert guidance to team members.

- Take IT ownership of the Model Safety and Evaluation services, including design and any necessary modifications to meet new requirements, ensuring adherence to team standards, best practices and documentation.
- Maintain a forward-thinking approach towards new technologies in the Data and Gen-AI space, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the team and broader organisation.
- Mentor developers in implementing top-quality technical solutions based on agreed technical designs,





using industry-standard development patterns and methodologies, including continuous integration and automated unit and integration testing.
- Ensure that all implemented solutions have adequate and appropriate automated testing prior to UAT, promoting quality and efficiency in our deliverables.
- Manage continual service improvement, implementing incremental enhancements to the Service, corrective actions to improve service performance, and measurement of appropriate MI to be able to make decisive decisions about the Service.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements :

- Solid understanding of Generative AI technology, with the ability to apply this knowledge to the development and enhancement of Office of Applied AI applications.
- Programming experience in Python.






- Experience with the IT controls in place for Data Usage, including Data Visa, DSS.
- Experience with industry standard version control tools (Git, GitHub), automated deployment tools (Ansible & Jenkins) and requirement management in JIRA.
- Passion for technology and understanding how things work, actively keeps themselves up to date.
