These include the Digital Services Act in the EU and the Online Safety Bill in the UK. This is a new and developing area of the law so provides many interesting and novel legal challenges.

The RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated EU / UK qualified lawyer who can support our growing Trust and Safety organisation, handle complex legal issues and support the implementation of novel and high profile laws in the European region.

- This role is based in London and will play a central role in the European legal team. Responsibilities- Leading on TikTok's implementation of and compliance with the Online Safety Act and the Online Safety (OSA) and Media Regulation Act (OSMR),





including driving the implementation of those laws and associated codes;
- Leading on regulatory engagement with Ofcom in conjunction with the Government Relations team;- Supporting our Trust and Safety organisation, advising on content moderation issues, content policies and user safety related legal matters;
- Supporting other in-house lawyers and our product legal team to review new products and features against relevant laws;
- Closely collaborating and coordinating with regulatory and litigation lawyers, product, public policy and communications teams on regulatory matters and policy strategies, external communication, and investigations;

and- Working with and managing external counsel as necessary.







- Minimum Qualifications- Senior Lawyer with 3+ years in a regulatory legal compliance role from a well regarded private practice team or established in-house department;
- Experience advising on laws relating to user generated content, including the Digital Services Act and OSMR in the EU and Online Safety Bill in the UK;
- Ability to manage a large number and variety of high profile and strategic projects and navigate ambiguous legal and regulatory environments;
- Previous experience of advising on the practical implementation of new laws;- Ability to work as a team player who can effectively work with, manage and coordinate colleagues, internal stakeholders and the business;
- Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity; and- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills,





and proficient in working closely with and advising senior executives of an organisation.

Preferred QualificationsBackground in consumer-facing tech and / or digital media, or a solid understanding of these industries from private practice.
