Volvo Penta is offering up to 3 years Graduate Engineering Apprenticeship in partnership with Cranfield University—a unique opportunity to earn while you learn . You'll work alongside our highly experienced Industrial Sales team to gain hands-on experience and tackle real-world challenges. Who Are You?
You’re a recent engineering graduate with a burning curiosity to dig deeper into the field. You’ve preferably had a taste of the industry through work experience or a placement year. Now you’re eager to apply that knowledge in a fast-paced, real-world environment. You have a passion for technical problem-solving, a sharp eye for detail, and a desire to work with cutting-edge technology.
Beyond your technical expertise, you’re collaborative, adaptable, and ready to join a global leader.
Who You Will Work With
You won’t be doing this alone! At Volvo Penta, you’ll be part of a tight-knit, friendly team of four experts who will support you every step of the way.
You will be working and shadowing colleagues who have previously completed the graduate apprenticeship themselves, who will be able to guide you throughout. As well as working with the wider sales and engineering team.
The Role
- Assist our Industrial Sales team with application engineering support for exciting new projects.
- Provide vital technical assistance to our dealer network and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) across various phases of product development—from design to installation.
- Contribute to engineering meetings, supporting the creation of bespoke engine build specifications.
- Engage with OEMs both onsite and remotely, offering solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Help design and verify mechanical and electrical systems that shape the future of industrial solutions.
- Participate in testing, verifying, and documenting new OEM products, and ensure everything meets the high standards of Volvo Penta.
- Play a key role in technical data management, installation training, and updating engineering teams on cutting-edge innovations.
- Attend trade shows and conferences, where you’ll represent Volvo Penta and showcase the future of industrial technology.
