Procurement Officer
Full Time Post, Fixed Term (2 years). 36 hours per week (working hours flexible further to discussion at interview)

Bromley Council are looking for a Procurement Officer to join our ambitious Procurement Team, based at our new Civic Centre directly opposite Bromley South train station.
The role will report to a Senior Procurement Officer and will provide advice, guidance and support on procurement matters,
working with the Council’s members and staff to ensure the highest standards of professional excellence in procurement.
We are looking for a procurement professional who can support the council’s commercial objectives, working well under pressure and to deadlines. This includes being the lead for procurement activities across the entire procurement cycle, promoting best practice to ensure the Council’s contracts represent excellent value for money.
Working closely with the rest of the Procurement Team, the successful candidate will be a knowledgeable in public procurement legislation and contribute to the successful implementation of the upcoming Procurement Act. The successful candidate will be personable and efficient, as well as having an understanding of Project Management techniques in order to support project procurements. They will have the confidence to manage conflicting priorities, a variety of internal and external stakeholders, as well as being a great team-player.
