Guy’s is home to the largest dental school in Europe and a £160 million Cancer Centre opened in 2016. St Thomas’ has one of the largest critical care units in the UK and one of the busiest emergency departments in London. It is also home to Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

Evelina London cares for local children in Lambeth and Southwark and provides specialist services across south east England including cardiac, renal and critical care services. We lead a number of specialist service networks aiming to ensure children are treated locally where possible, but have access to specialist expertise when they need it. Our community services include health visiting, school nursing and support for families of children with long-term conditions.

Our adult community services teams deliver care at the heart of the local communities we serve,





working in partnership with GPs, local authorities and other healthcare and voluntary sector organisations. Working with our partners in Lambeth and Southwark, we are focusing on new ways of working to improve care for local patients.

In February 2021 the Royal Brompton and Harefield joined Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, bringing together world-leading expertise in the care and research of heart and lung disease. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Assisted Conception Unit (ACU) as a Fertility Preservation Patient Pathway Coordinator. Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work closely with the Assistant Service Manager, the Pathway Coordinator team, and the clinical Fertility Preservation team. This role requires acute attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a dedication to delivering high-quality service.

The role requires effective communication and collaboration with a wide range of staff, including Directorate Managers, Consultants, Nurses, and administrative colleagues.

The ideal candidate will work well as part of a team, maintain a professional and personable approach at all times, and possess strong multi-tasking skills. They must also demonstrate the ability to work under pressure. Flexibility is key, as the role requires adapting to the needs of the service and attending meetings when necessary. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities







The successful applicant will be responsible for managing patient pathways and responding to patient queries via phone and email. Key duties include managing the patient pathway for Fertility Preservation, which involves the processing of urgent referrals, and ensuring smooth communication and coordination with patients and clinical staff.

The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Monitoring treatment progressions using the PTL (Patient Treatment List) and adhering to local policies.
- Processing NHS funding applications to seek approval for treatment from ICBs (Integrated Commissioning Boards).
- Ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained in line with Trust policy and HFEA (Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority)





guidelines.
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to the clinical team, ensuring that all relevant paperwork and clinical information are available to facilitate patient care.
