Legal Operations / Practice Director - Successful Solicitors - Chelmsford, Essex / Hybrid - £70k-£90k (DoE)

We are on the hunt for an experienced Legal Practice Manager / Legal Operations Manager to join a rapid-growth, successful legal practice in Chelmsford, Essex as their Legal Operations Director.

Utilising your extensive experience in legal operations and administration together with your savvy business acumen and technology knowledge, you will help take this fast-growing, busy legal firm to the next stage whilst maintaining the core of their business.

Key responsibilities as the Legal Operations / Practice Director will include:

- Contributing to the company strategy to ensure short and long-term objectives are achieved






- Developing and implementing policies and procedures
- Developing and managing operational budgets
- Acting as the main adviser on all operational functions
- Ensuring operations staff and legal staff are trained to the required standards
- Evaluating company performance through gathering, analysing and interpreting data and metrics
- Managing technologies including document management systems and legal research tools
- Maintaining successful working relationships with directors/leadership to ensure buy-in to changes / amendments
- Working with the leadership team to develop and manage projects (systems, IT, staffing etc) to ensure the business can grow efficiently and successfully

What we’re looking for:

- Relevant experience in similar legal operations / legal practice management roles
- A degree in business, law or a related field is highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of latest technology including legal software and case management systems
- Good understanding of legal compliance,





policies and procedures
- Exceptional organisation and project management skills
- Strategic business acumen with the capabilities to support a company through a period of rapid growth
- Confident and professional communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Influential, pursuasive and motivating nature with the ability to garner buy-in from colleagues
- Budget management experience
- Personable, proactive and motivated with a forward-thinking, dynamic approach
