An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a solid background in utilities infrastructure. Our client, a well-established and respected company in the utilities sector, is seeking a skilled professional to manage the financial aspects of key projects, ensuring budgets are adhered to and contractual obligations are met. The company has doubled in size acrosss the past two years with a strong reputation for delivering essential infrastructure projects across water, gas, electricity, and telecoms, working with both public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing and managing cost estimates and project budgets.






- Conducting detailed cost analysis and risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Measuring, valuing, and negotiating contract variations.
- Assisting in procurement, including the selection of contractors and suppliers.
- Preparing tender documents, contracts, bills of quantities, and other relevant documentation.
- Monitoring project progress and providing financial reporting to senior management.
- Negotiating contracts and managing client relationships.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conducting post-completion audits and final accounts for completed projects.

Requirements:

- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the utilities sector.
- Strong knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- A full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

- Membership of a recognised professional body such as RICS or ICES.






- Experience working with public utility companies or contractors.

Benefits:

- Circa £60,000 per annum (Negoticable)
- Company car or car allowance
- 28 days annual leave, rising to 33 days (including bank holidays).
