EY is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable professional with strong consulting and technical skills to design Data and AI solutions for our clients. We are looking for a highly technical individual that has previous hands-on experience building and delivering AI solutions to clients.
The right candidate will have a strong knowledge of cloud AI services, Dev-Ops and Engineering in addition to a background in Data Science and Machine Learning.

Your Responsibilities
We are looking to bring in forward-thinking individuals across all our grades, particularly those who are passionate about driving digital transformation in the banking sector. No day would be ‘typical’, but you could expect to be involved in some or all of the activities listed below during the course of your career:
- Work with clients to help clients to shape and execute their AI Strategy and specifically the challenges in implementing, driving adoption and scaling of GenAI across the enterprise.
- Design AI Solutions for clients.
- Work in partnership with enterprise architects to ensure AI solutions fit and scale into a broader IT ecosystem.
- Design robust database Infrastructure to support advanced analytics and AI activities.
- Working with Data Scientists and AI Engineers with environment creation.
- Use MLOps processes to deploy models into production.
- Design back-end and front-end infrastructures to support Analytics and AI solutions.
- Lead pilots, prototypes or proof of concepts, where applicable, to demonstrate the potential of new technologies and data systems in improving insurance operations.
- Mentor and lead junior members of the team.
- Support sales teams with your knowledge.
- Work with clients throughout the delivery process of a Data Science and AI solution providing technical leadership.
Skills and Attribute for Success:
- A blend of experience in AI, Data Science and Data Engineering.
- Experience of building Machine Learning solutions.
- LLMs or cloud experience AWS, Azure or GCP
- A deep understanding of AI concepts, applications and ethical considerations.
- Knowledge of data architecture principles and good understanding of data security and privacy.
- Agile project methodology expertise, tailored to the fast-paced and regulated environment.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and software engineering principles, ensuring robust and secure AI deployments.
- Leadership skills complemented by excellent communication abilities and a collaborative, inclusive mindset.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of emerging trends in AI, Data Science, and the insurance market.
To qualify for the role you must have:
- Hands-on experience in delivering AI and Data Science solutions.
- Extensive experience with RDBMS (MSSQL and T-SQL) and No-SQL data platforms and systems.
- Expert in Azure/AWS/GCP cloud data architectures and platform technologies.
- Experience or relevant qualifications on a cloud platform (preferably Azure).
- Practical experience with Machine Learning/Deep Learning techniques relevant to insurance, such as predictive modeling and anomaly detection.
- Experience with MLOps pipelines and model deployment, and networking resources within a cloud platform, tailored to insurance applications.
- Knowledge of software engineering concepts, Test Driven Development and version control e.g. git.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Further academic qualification in a relevant field (MSc/PhD).
- Data platform experience with DataBricks or Snowflake.
- Relevant Certifications in Azure or AWS (Certified Azure Solution Architect Expert; Certified Azure AI Engineer; AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Industry sector specific experience (energy and resources/government/Consumer products and retail).
- Front-end development experience in JavaScript or D3.js.
