The role of Postdoctoral Researcher in Online Environments and Well-being is a full-time, fixed-term role for 12 months, starting on 1 January 2025. You will be based in Oxford as your normal place of work with the possibility of hybrid work within the UK only.

Working with Professor Andrew Przybylski you will contribute to two significant projects investigating the impact of digital technologies on well-being,

You will be responsible for planning and facilitating two significant workshops, managing research activities, analysing data, and communicating findings to diverse stakeholders. You'll play a key role in advancing our understanding of how digital technologies impact well-being, particularly among adolescents and in the context of video gaming.

- You will run workshops using Delphi and World Café methodologies to gather expert opinions and diverse perspectives.
- You will conduct both qualitative and quantitative data analysis using state-of-the-art tools and techniques.
- Your work will directly contribute to publications and research proposals, helping to shape the future of digital well-being research.

You will be working in a world-leading research institute dedicated to the social science of the Internet, collaborating with experts in the field of digital well-being and video game research.

You will have a PhD/DPhil in Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related field, with strong expertise in mixed methods research. You should have excellent communication skills, experience in planning and running academic workshops,

and proficiency in data analysis tools such as R Studio. Experience with the Delphi and World Café methods is desirable.
